For years, San Francisco's Millennium Tower has been sinking and tilting, says Business Insider. Since opening in 2009, the 58-story skyscraper has sunk 17 inches and tilted another 14 inches to the northwest. Residents have been concerned that the building's foundation could jeopardize their safety. There have been multiple legal battles with residents complaining of decreased home values, mysterious odors, bubbling floors, and cracked walls. Despite much investigation, developers haven't managed to determine the cause of the tilting and sinking. Millennium Partners claims that the construction of the Salesforce Transit Center is responsible for the sinking.
